CODA DELLA FOCE

CODA DELLA FOCE

RISERVA MENFI DOC

Coda della Foce is a beautiful wine in a fine clothing, someone said: stylish, never intrusive, feeling at ease in every situation, and charmingly seductive.

It is a selection of Nero d’Avola grapes grown in Tenuta Belicello, hand picked and accurately vinified before a long refining in oak barrels. It is produced only in the best vintages that are able to develop longevity and a superior quality.

Sicilian by birth, a world citizen by choice of life.

ALTRIMENTI

ALTRIMENTI

VINO PERPETUO

Altrimenti is Menfi’s traditional "house wine" produced with the technique of perpetual aging in a single oak barrel, where a 25-30% of younger wine is added every year to the older wine that is already being aged.

Made with grapes grown in Dietro le Case vineyard, this wine testifies to the complex personality and extraordinary aging capacity of Inzolia, the most traditional and identifying grape variety of Menfi’s terroir.

ARÈMI

ARÈMI

CATARRATTO SUPERIORE MENFI DOC

In the Sicilian language, Arèmi is the name of coins, one of the four suits of the Latin playing cards that became diamonds in French cards, and it refers to gold, the precious material of which money were made in the past.

Catarratto is pure, intense and bright gold that shines under the warm Sicilian sun, rich of the ancient history that wise hands have passed on from generation to generation, from the grape's homeland in Greece to the fertile soils of Menfi.

Arèmi means love for the land, respect for traditions and conscious acceptance of a heritage that is worth preserving.

AMMÀNO

AMMÀNO

VINO BIANCO

100% handmade from the grape’s picking to the bottling, Ammàno is a craft orange wine, made without using machineries but only hands and manual tools.

My goal is to understand how wine was like centuries ago, when there was no electricity nor technology in the vineyards, and to get closer to a more natural and traditional approach in winemaking.

Only grapes and hands: in a world dominated by industrial processes and homologation, human hands and creativity are the values we need to come back to.

AZIMUT

AZIMUT

MERLOT MENFI DOC

Azimut was my father's first wine, awaited and cherished like a dream that takes shape, which then becomes possible and finally comes true with passion and every day's work.

Azimut, from the Arabic word as-sumuth that means "the way". I chose this name because being farmers and winemakers is not just a job, but implies a profound and conscious commitment.

With Azimut I started experimenting with wild yeast in 2001: a peculiar choice in Sicily, when very few people knew about natural winemaking.
