Our wines on Wine Enthusiast!
@ Wine Enthusiast Magazine April 2015
Amazing reviews for all our wines that are currently represented in the United States: the Wine Enthusiast Magazine has just released their online exclusive edition of all scores for the Italian Wine Tasting, which will be included in the Italian Issue - focused on Sicilian Wines - on next April 2015.
This public recognition for the overall quality of our production is just exciting, with a couple of excellent peaks that make me smile a lot (yes, I mean Bambina!).
Here below you will find all ratings and scores:
- La Bambina 2013 | 89/100: Made entirely with Nero d'Avola, this opens with aromas that recall ripe berry, baking spice and crushed wild flowers. The bright, savory palate offers raspberry, strawberry, cherry and cinammon alongside zesty acidity. Delicious and refreshing, it ends on a note of anise.
- Microcosmo 2011 | 89/100: Made with 90% Perricone and 10% Nerello Mascalese, this hearthy wine delivers aromas of red berry, Mediterranean brush, grilled herb and a menthol note. The palate offers dried cherry, espresso, mocha and peppercorn alongside firm but fine-grained tannins.
- Dietro le Case 2013 | 87/100: Aromas suggest exotic fruit, yellow flower and a whiff of Mediterranean herb. The linear palate doles out yellow apple, ginger, thyme and a hint of mineral alongside bright acidity.
- Nero d'Avola 2013 | 87/100: Bright and juicy, this straightforward, savory red delivers aromas and flavors of succulent blackberry, wild cherry, crushed raspberry and hints of cinnamon. Round, soft tannins give it an easy-drinking quality ideal for everyday occasions. Drink soon to capture the fresh fruit.
- Coste al Vento Grillo 2013 | 86/100: The nose on this isn't very expressive but the palate reveals crunchy Bartlett pear and yellow apple, while a hint of sage in the background adds interest. Brisk acidity gives it a zesty finish.
- Inzolia 2013 | 86/100: A delicate floral fragrance of Spanish broom comes with a whiff of pear. The vibrant palate offers green apple, citrus and just a hint of bitter almond on the crisp finish.
