@ Cantine Barbera

The second annual #Chardonnay Day will be held May 26th, and it's a global internationl meeting of people that will enjoy a "social" tasting of Chardonnay wines.

From 7.00 pm, at Cantine Barbera we will taste 9 fabulous wines, all produced by Sicilian wineries.

Let's give up with the prejudice that only red wines can age: also Sicilian whites have a life longer than you would expect, and Chardonnay is one of the most suitable wines for aging.

That's why we will present a mini-vertical tasting of three vintages of Piana del Pozzo (2007, 2008 and 2009): a unique opportunity to discover the different character of the harvests and the influence of a longer refining in bottles on the wine's personality.

We will host several other Chardonnays at the tasting:

Di Prima: GIBILMORO Sicilia Igp 2010
Planeta: CHARDONNAY Sicilia Igt 2009
Rapitalà: CASALJ Sicilia Igt 2010
Rapitalà: GRAND CRU Sicilia Igt 2009
Settesoli: CHARDONNAY Sicilia Igt 2010
Settesoli: MANDRAROSSA CHARDONNAY Sicilia Igt 2010

We will connect with thousands of people all over the world via Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and other social networks, to talk, exchange opinions, try different food matches... with Chardonnay as a main character.

A nice way to stay together with no borders!
